"Paranoid Prophets" presents a gritty soundscape that intertwines post-punk and alternative rock elements. The production is raw yet polished, featuring a blend of distorted guitars and atmospheric synths that create a sense of urgency and introspection. Tracks like "Hate Is an Illness (Get Well Soon)" and "Broken Homes" showcase a dynamic range, shifting from driving tempos to more contemplative moments, while "Lone Riders" and "Sleeping Village" introduce a haunting quality with layered vocals and echoing instrumentation. The album's energy fluctuates, balancing aggressive anthems with reflective ballads, resulting in a textured listening experience. Distinctively, the thematic exploration of mental health and societal issues resonates throughout, enhancing the emotional depth of the sonic landscape.

Artist Background: Breakbeat and musicality aren't always easy bedfellows. Some noisecore terrorists shun the sounds of any real instruments, but the productions of Ils have always managed to combine melody and harmony with astute dancefloor savvy. Whether it be some of the jazzy drum + bass tracks he released on LTJ Bukem's label in the mid-90s or the amazing 'Next Level' - one of the biggest breakbeat tracks ever - Ils has quite a pedigree of tracks. His third artist album, 'Bohemia', carries on his tradition... Emerged in the classic era.
