"Self Help For Beginners" showcases a vibrant blend of electro-pop and indie dance, characterized by its polished production and rich sonic textures. The album features pulsating synth lines and driving bass, creating an energetic backdrop that invites movement. Tracks like "Opposite of Love" and "Kick" pulse with a club-ready tempo, while "Last Light" and "The Fallen" introduce atmospheric layers that evoke a sense of introspection. The collaboration with Peter Hook on "Becoming the Wraith" adds a distinctive post-punk edge, merging melodic bass with shimmering synths. The overall sound is both dynamic and immersive, balancing high-energy anthems with darker, more reflective moments, making it a compelling listen throughout.
