Haudankylmyyden mailla" delivers a raw and unrefined black metal experience, characterized by its lo-fi production that enhances the album's dark atmosphere. The instrumentation features tremolo-picked guitar riffs layered over relentless blast beats, creating a relentless sonic assault. Vocals are harsh and guttural, adding to the overall intensity. The tempo varies throughout, oscillating between frenetic bursts and slower, more oppressive passages, which contribute to a sense of foreboding. Textures are gritty and abrasive, with an emphasis on creating an immersive, chilling soundscape that evokes themes of despair and darkness.
