Justin Robertson's final album as Lionrock, CITY DELIRIOUS, kicks off with some thick electro breaks on "Push Button Cocktail" that soon give way to a moody melody, while the funk of "Rude Boy Rock" and title track never quit. "Electric Hairdo" brings in some guitar fuzz coupled with nice dub reverb effects before the straight-up house of "Best Foot Forward." But "Rock Steady Romance" chills things down for a bit with a slow, sinuous groove, before "Wet Roads Glisten" eases into your consciousness. Some bright breaks slide onto "Canal Heist," while "Zip Gun Rumble" brings on a funky bassline. "It's Panoramic" is probably the hidden gem on the album, a shiny piece of house before the mellow "Amazing New Product" leads the album out. This album will indeed leave you delirious.
