It has been certified 21 x Platinum by the RIAA (10.5 million shipped as it a double album), making it tied with Billy Joel's Greatest Hits Volume I & Volume II for the sixth best-selling album of all time in the U.S. And according to Nielsen Soundscan sold 6,017,000 copies over the counter.
