"The Sound the Speed the Light" is the fourth studio album by American post-punk band Mission of Burma,It was released in 2009 through record label Matador Records, and the third album recorded since their 19 year hiatus. Mark Deming wrote "The Sound the Speed the Light falls a few feet short of the level of excellence Mission of Burma have set for themselves in the past -- though most contemporary bands would be overjoyed to make an album as interesting and compelling as this one".
