Description: This Ain't No Mixtape is the debut independent album by rapper Curren$y. It was released on April 21, 2009 on digital outlets only. Amalgam Digital released physical copies of the album on June 28, 2011. The entire album is produced by Monsta Beatz. Prior to the release, Curren$y had released a series of highly touted mixtapes, hence the album's title. The cover takes its inspiration from Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.

Artist Background: Shante Scott Franklin (born April 4, 1981), better known by his stage name Curren$y is an American rapper from New Orleans, Louisiana. In 2002, Curren$y was signed to Master P's No Limit Records and was a member of the 504 Boyz. The song "Get Back" by 504 Boyz Produced by Donald XL Robertson made it to the Malibu's Most Wanted soundtrack. Curren$y appeared on 5 songs in Master P's Good Side, Bad Side album, released in 2004. Even though he was signed with No Limit, he represented C-Murders TR... Part of the New Orleans, Louisiana music scene. Emerged in the 2000s era. Associated with Hip-Hop movement. Known for Urban/R&B style.
