Hajj" presents a dense tapestry of sound that immerses the listener in a world of experimental textures. The production is raw and unrefined, with a focus on layering dissonant electronic elements that create an industrial ambiance. Tracks like "Charnel" and "Under Black Light" feature pulsating rhythms interspersed with chaotic noise, while "Somnabulists" leans into a more hypnotic, ambient quality. The tempo varies, oscillating between frenetic energy and subdued, contemplative moments. The use of unconventional instrumentation enhances its distinctive character, resulting in an unsettling yet captivating listening experience. The album's sonic landscape is marked by its ability to evoke a sense of urgency and introspection simultaneously, making it a notable entry in the noise genre.

Artist Background: Muslimgauze was a music project of Bryn Jones (17 June 1961-14 January 1999), a prolific British ethnic electronica and experimental musician, influenced by conflicts in the Muslim world with an emphasis on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. With dozens of albums released under the Muslimgauze name, Jones was remarkably prolific, but his mainstream success was limited due in part to his work being issued mostly in limited editions on small record labels. Nonetheless, as critic John Bush writes... Part of the Manchester music scene. Emerged in the 1980s era. Associated with Experimental movement. Known for Electronic style.
