Description: Departures is the second solo album by Australian musician Bernard Fanning, a follow up to his 2005 #1 Australian charting album Tea & Sympathy, and the first since Fanning's band Powderfinger was disbanded in 2011. The album was released on 7 June 2013. The album heralds a departure from Fanning's debut 2005 effort of folk and roots in favour of a rock sound, more akin to his Powderfinger origins.[

Artist Background: Bernard Fanning (born 15 August 1969) is a musician and singer-songwriter. He is best known as the lead singer and frontman of Australian alternative rock band Powderfinger from its formation in 1989 to its dissolution in 2010. While Powderfinger's style focuses on alternative rock, Fanning's solo music is generally described as a mixture of blues and acoustic folk. A multi-instrumentalist, Fanning plays guitar, piano, keyboards and harmonica, both when performing solo and also with Powderfin... Emerged in the 1960s era.
