Trollskau, skrømt og kølabrenning" presents a rich tapestry of folk metal, blending traditional instrumentation with the raw energy of metal. The album features a dynamic interplay between hard-hitting guitar riffs and melodic folk elements, creating a textured soundscape that oscillates between aggressive and serene. Tracks like "Gygra og St. Olav" and "Olav Tryggvason" showcase driving tempos and layered harmonies, while pieces such as "Mellomspell" and "Tre skygger tel kølabrennern kom" introduce a more contemplative, atmospheric quality. The production captures the organic essence of acoustic instruments alongside the power of electric ones, resulting in a distinctive sonic experience that evokes both the mystique of folklore and the intensity of metal.
