"Hard Attack" presents a raw and gritty hard rock sound, characteristic of early 1970s metal. The production is marked by a heavy, analog warmth, allowing the electric guitars to cut through with a powerful, distorted edge. Tracks like "Pull Away" and "Learning to Die" showcase dynamic shifts between aggressive riffs and more subdued, contemplative passages, creating a sense of tension and release. The rhythm section delivers a driving tempo, with a palpable energy that underpins the troubled mood of the album. Textures range from the dense layering of guitars in "So Many Times" to the more atmospheric moments in "Walk in the Soft Rain," making it distinctive in its ability to blend heaviness with introspective themes.
