"Anorectic" presents a polished blend of gothic rock and alternative metal, characterized by its atmospheric production and layered instrumentation. The album features driving guitar riffs and pulsating bass lines, creating a dynamic soundscape that oscillates between brooding intensity and melodic introspection. Tracks like "Glory of the Shame" and "Sinner's Night" showcase an energetic tempo, while songs such as "Misty Morning" and "A Song for the Broken Hearted" delve into more subdued, reflective textures. The production quality is crisp, allowing for the nuanced interplay of synths and vocals, which often convey a sense of emotional weight. This balance of aggression and vulnerability makes "Anorectic" a distinctive entry in the genre.
