Description: King of the Road is the sixth studio album by the California stoner rock band Fu Manchu, released in 2000. Many of the songs are about cars and car culture.

The Japanese and European releases contain the track "Breathing Fire" in place of "Drive". "Breathing Fire" was on the demo version of the record that was sent to radio stations, clubs, and fans.

Artist Background: Fu Manchu is a Southern Californian stoner rock band. Fu Manchu originally formed in 1985 as a hardcore punk band called Virulence. The line up was vocalist Ken Pucci, guitarist Scott Hill, bassist Mark Abshire, and drummer Ruben Romano. In 1987 Abshire left the band and was replaced by Greg McCaughey. They recorded their debut LP If This Isn't a Dream... in 1988, which was released on Alchemy Records (1989). In 1990, Pucci left the band and was replaced by vocalist Glenn Chivens, and they ch... Part of the Orange County, California, USA music scene. Emerged in the 1980s era. Associated with Stoner Rock movement. Known for Rock/Pop style.
