Description: "I Looked Up" is the sixth album by the Incredible String Band released in 1970 on the Elektra label. Recorded at a time when the band was busy rehearsing for their ambitious upcoming stage show, U, the album has been described by band member Robin Williamson as a "quickie." The album contains one of Mike Heron's best loved ISB songs, "This Moment", as well as Robin Williamson's most experimental, "Pictures in a Mirror".
The album spent four weeks in the UK Album Charts peaking at number 30.

Artist Background: The Incredible String Band (sometimes abbreviated as ISB) were a psychedelic folk band formed in Scotland in 1966. The band built a considerable following, especially within the British counterculture, before splitting up in 1974. The group's members are musical pioneers in psychedelic folk and, by integrating a wide variety of traditional music forms and instruments, in the development of world music. The group reformed in 1999 and continued to perform until 2006. Part of the Edinburgh ,Scotland music scene. Emerged in the 1960s era. Associated with Psychedelic Rock movement. Known for Folk style.
