New Distances" delivers an intense sonic experience characterized by chaotic hardcore energy and intricate mathcore rhythms. The production is raw yet polished, allowing the jagged guitar riffs and frenetic drumming to cut through with clarity. Each track, from the explosive "Chambered" to the atmospheric "Sea Witch," showcases a dynamic interplay of tempo shifts and dissonant textures, creating a sense of urgency and unpredictability. The instrumentation is tight and aggressive, with a focus on percussive elements that drive the relentless pace. The album's distinctive sound lies in its ability to blend hardcore punk's ferocity with post-hardcore's complexity, resulting in a visceral listening experience that is both challenging and rewarding.
