Description: Ramblin' Gamblin' Man is the debut album by American rock band The Bob Seger System, released in 1969 (see 1969 in music). The original title was Tales of Lucy Blue, hence the cover photo. In the liner notes, Bob Seger says (sarcastically) he later realized Lucy Blue was Ramblin' Gamblin' Man, and so changed the title of the album. He then thanks "Doctor Fine" for this realization. (Doctor Fine being the person who made Seger change the album's name.) The title track was also performed on Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band's live album Live Bullet. More recently, it was covered by fellow Hideout/Capitol Records artist Huck Johns on his debut album Huck.

Artist Background: Robert Clark "Bob" Seger (born May 6, 1945) is an American rock and roll singer-songwriter, guitarist and pianist. As a locally successful Detroit-area artist, he performed and recorded as Bob Seger and the Last Heard and Bob Seger System throughout the 1960s. By the early 1970s, he had dropped the "System" from his recordings, and he continued to strive for broader success with other various bands. In 1973, he put together The Silver Bullet Band, a group of Detroit-area musicians, with whom ... Part of the Michigan, USA music scene. Emerged in the 1960s era. Associated with Rock movement. Known for Rock/Pop style.
