Wake Me When It's Over is Faster Pussycat's second album, moving from the hair metal sound of their first album to a blues-influenced sound. Before the recording of this album, drummer Mark Michals was fired because of heroin possession. Steven Riley notable LA Session/ Touring drummer was hired for the studio. Drummer Frankie Banali of Quiet Riot was hired for a concert tour. Banali was replaced after the tour by Brett Bradshaw who was discovered after exhaustive auditions.
