"Jours étranges" showcases a raw and emotive sound typical of late '90s French rock, characterized by Saez's poignant lyricism and dynamic instrumentation. The album features a blend of acoustic and electric guitars, creating a rich tapestry of textures that oscillate between intimate ballads like "My Funny Valentine" and more anthemic tracks such as "Jeune et con." The production is marked by a lo-fi aesthetic, allowing the emotional weight of the vocals to shine through. Songs like "Hallelujah" and "Soleil 2000" exhibit varied tempos, from reflective to driving, while the overall energy fluctuates, maintaining a sense of urgency and introspection. This contrast, combined with Saez's distinctive vocal delivery, makes the album a compelling listen.
