"Firesticks" showcases Aswad's signature blend of reggae and dancehall, characterized by rich, layered instrumentation and vibrant production. The album features a mix of tempos, from the upbeat energy of tracks like "Warrior Re-Charge" and "Fire" to the more laid-back grooves of "Smokey Blues" and "Next to You." The use of horns, synthesizers, and rhythmic guitar creates a lush sonic texture, while the various mixes—such as the Dancehall and Ragga interpretations—add a contemporary edge. The production quality is polished, allowing for a dynamic range that enhances the infectious energy of tracks like "Set Them Free" and "Don't Turn Around." Overall, "Firesticks" stands out for its seamless fusion of classic reggae vibes with modern dance influences.
