"Trips" showcases Samiam's signature blend of alternative rock and pop, characterized by a raw yet polished production style. The album features jangly guitars and driving rhythms, creating a vibrant sonic landscape that balances energetic tracks like "80 West" and "Demon" with more introspective moments found in "September Holiday" and "How Would You Know." The instrumentation is layered, with crisp guitar riffs and a steady bass foundation that support the dynamic vocal delivery. Tempo varies throughout, maintaining a consistent energy that feels both urgent and reflective. The textures range from bright and buoyant to darker, moodier tones, making "Trips" a distinctive exploration of emotional depth within an accessible rock framework.
