"Better Days" showcases a polished R&B sound characteristic of the early 2000s, blending smooth vocal delivery with lush instrumentation. The album features a rich tapestry of soulful melodies, underpinned by warm synths and subtle percussion that create a relaxed yet engaging atmosphere. Tracks like "Let's Stay Home Tonight" and "Better Days" highlight a mid-tempo groove, while "Ghetto Child" introduces a more rhythmic, upbeat energy. The production is crisp, allowing Joe's emotive vocals to shine, particularly in ballads like "Lovers Prayer" and "I Understand." The inclusion of diverse elements, such as the collaboration with Shaggy and the Harlem Boys Choir on "Changed Man," adds depth and texture, making the album a standout in its genre.
