Description: "Kiss The Wind" released in 2008 is a special collection of unissued and rare music , compiled by Mike Scott from material in the Waterboys sound archives. Its 16 songs were recorded between 1991 and 2006, spanning the Room To Roam, Dream Harder, Rock In The Weary Land and Universal Hall eras. The tracks include several legendary or rumoured items, a couple of rare live beauties and a generous number of terrific never before heard songs.
Kiss The Wind also includes the Waterboys' live version of the Rolling Stones' "Wild Horses", as well as a musical version of the WB Yeats poem 'The Stolen Child.'

Artist Background: The Waterboys are a band formed in 1983 by Mike Scott. The band's membership, past and present, has been composed mainly of musicians from Scotland, Ireland and England. Edinburgh, London, Dublin, Spiddal, New York, and Findhorn have all served as homes for the group. The band has played in a number of different styles, but their music is a mix of Celtic folk music with rock and roll. After ten years of recording and touring, they dissolved in 1993 and Scott pursued a solo career. They reform... Part of the Edinburgh, Scotland, UK music scene. Emerged in the 1980s era.
