"Pleasures of the Flesh" showcases a raw and aggressive thrash metal sound, characterized by its sharp guitar riffs and relentless drumming. The production is gritty yet polished, capturing the urgency of tracks like "Deranged" and "Faster Than You'll Ever Live to Be." The instrumentation features fast-paced, palm-muted guitar work layered with frenetic solos, while the bass provides a throbbing foundation that complements the high-energy tempo. Songs like "Parasite" and "Chemi-Kill" exemplify the album's dynamic shifts, oscillating between blistering speed and more mid-tempo grooves. The vocal delivery is fierce and commanding, enhancing the overall intensity. The live tracks add an extra layer of raw energy, making the album distinctive within the thrash genre.
