"Feuer frei!" showcases Nachtmahr's signature blend of aggressive EBM and industrial sounds, characterized by driving beats and dark, pulsating synth lines. The production is crisp and polished, with an emphasis on layered textures that create a dense sonic landscape. Tracks like "Leistung" and "Opferzeit" feature relentless tempos and powerful bass, while "Karussell" introduces a more hypnotic rhythm, maintaining high energy throughout. The use of distorted vocals adds a raw edge, contrasting with the meticulously crafted electronic instrumentation. Distinctive for its relentless intensity and anthemic choruses, the album captures a visceral atmosphere that invites both dance and introspection, making it a standout in the dark electronic music scene of its time.
