"In Medias Res" presents a rich tapestry of symphonic metal, characterized by lush orchestral arrangements intertwined with powerful guitar riffs. The production is polished, allowing the dynamic contrasts between soaring vocals and heavy instrumentation to shine. Tracks like "Victoriam Speramus" and "Always and Forever" showcase a blend of melodic and aggressive elements, maintaining a balance of energy that shifts from anthemic choruses to introspective verses. The use of strings and choirs adds a grandiose texture, while songs like "Save Me" and "The Tears I Cry" evoke a poignant emotional depth. The album's overall tempo varies, creating an engaging listening experience that feels both enlightened and dramatic, distinguishing it within the genre.
