Lobotomizer" presents a raw and dynamic fusion of alternative metal and psychedelic rock, characterized by its heavy, distorted guitar riffs and intricate rhythms. The production is gritty yet polished, allowing the layered instrumentation to shine through. Tracks like "Grinder" and "Hogwash" feature driving tempos and an energetic intensity that contrasts with the more introspective moments found in "Eternity" and "Frances." The album's sonic texture is marked by a blend of aggressive and melodic elements, creating a captivating listening experience. The interplay between heavy instrumentation and ethereal soundscapes adds depth, making "Lobotomizer" a distinctive entry in the alternative rock genre.

Lobotomizer is the debut album of the Norwegian band Motorpsycho, released in 1991. The album has a raw sound and style (mostly heavy metal and grunge). However, it has been called the band's weakest record. The album includes the live-performance crowd-favourite "Hogwash". The title track and the song "Eternity" show a less aggressive side of the band's sound.
