Lock Up the Wolves

“Wild One” is perhaps the most thrilling opener in Dio’s entire catalogue—the howler delivers the unruly tribute to rebellion while infernal boogie riffs and lashing drums (courtesy of ex-AC/DC beast Simon Wright) hit warp speed. “Walk on Water” also hits blazing velocities, spotlighting axeman Rowan Robertson, whose lead soars and spirals like a trapeze artist. These scorchers are balanced by Dio’s trademark power-metal anthems, like the grandly marching “Born on the Sun”, which urges headbangers to live life on the edge.
