Description: The OMD Singles is a singles compilation album by Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, released in 1998. It reached #16 in the UK charts. Originally, the compilation was to include a second disc of new remixes; however, this idea was abandoned due to budget limitations. The few remixes that were produced were released separately as The OMD Remixes. In 2003, The OMD Singles was reissued in France with the remix disc finally included, comprising the 1998 remixes as well as additional remixes.

Artist Background: Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD) are an English electronic music group formed in Wirral, Merseyside in 1978. Spawned by earlier band The Id, the outfit originally functioned as a duo composed of founding members Andy McCluskey (vocals, bass guitar) and Paul Humphreys (keyboards, vocals), before other personnel were enlisted. As a group, OMD gained popularity throughout Europe with the 1980 single "Enola Gay", and achieved broader recognition via Architecture & Morality (1981) and its s...
