Sky-high rock hooks and stadium swagger are not new concepts for upstart guitar bands—but they’re delivered with thumping panache on this second album from Canterbury’s Moose Blood. <i>Blush</i> was mostly recorded in Los Angeles and there’s a sun-warmed grandeur to these gritty emo tales of stolen cars (“Sway”) and lost love (“Honey”). Meanwhile, “Glow”, in the best possible way, sounds precision-engineered to echo around a packed festival field.
