LEATHERS

Stark and sleek against the light, the shadow beneath the sheen, LEATHERS is the anticipated collaboration between visual artist/vocalist, Shannon Hemmett and producer/songwriter, Jason Corbett (ACTORS). After discovering a shared affinity for Bauhaus's snarling dub-disco track, Kick In The Eye and Curve's shoegaze masterpiece, Doppelgänger, Hemmett and Corbett crafted a provocative audiovisual concept that has all the tense, suggestive atmospheres of a Helmut Newton photograph. Combining luminous guitar textures, melted synths, and icy slashes of feedback, Hemmett and Corbett channel their influences into a wild, nocturnal aesthetic.
