Elliot Smith

Steven Paul Smith , aka Elliott Smith , born on 6 août 1969 in Omaha ( Nebraska ) and died on 21 octobre 2003 in Los Angeles ( California ), is a singer-songwriter American . After playing in the Heatmiser group for several years, he began a solo career in 1994 . It is revealed to the general public thanks to its song Miss Misery written for the film Will Hunting , and nominated in 1998 for the Oscar of the cinema in the category "Best original song". Elliott Smith died in 2003 , at the age of 34, from two stab wounds to the chest. Although the theory of suicide was well advanced, the circumstances of his death are still unclear
