The Greatest Hits is the first greatest hits collection from American rock band 3 Doors Down. It was released on November 19, 2012, on Republic Records. The collection features nine number-one hits that have been remixed and re-mastered, alongside three new songs, "One Light," "There's a Life," and "Goodbyes". The new songs are the first new releases with Chet Roberts on guitar.

Escatawpa, Mississippi's 3 Doors Down made an immediate impact on their local modern rock radio station with the catchy, electric guitar-heavy single "Kryptonite" generating a genuine buzz in Biloxi that led to sold out shows that attracted the attention of major labels. Their debut album The Better Life led with "Kryptonite" and a new generation of young guitar players had a new tune to master. This radio-ready post-grunge rock put songs ahead of personalities and subsequent songs, "Loser" and "Duck and Run" led to the album selling more than five million copies. The moodier, dynamic "When I'm Gone" and the ballad "Here Without You," from their second album Away From The Sun solidified their position as monsters of radio. This Greatest Hits collection features nine charting hits from four of their albums, remixed and remastered, plus three new songs "One Light," "There's A Life" and "Goodbyes" that team them with producer and writer Marti Frederiksen and Dave Bassett for more potential hits.
