Strut by Lenny Kravitz
Strut is the tenth studio album by American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and arranger Lenny Kravitz, will be released on September 19, 2014. It will be the first release on Kravitz's own Roxie Records, with distribution by Kobalt Label Services.
On the follow-up to 2011’s ornate <i>Black and White America</i>, Lenny Kravitz infuses a heavy-hitting mix of soul, funk and psychedelic rock with fiery emotional urgency. The GRAMMY® winner’s well-known versatility is on full display with his tenth studio album: he plays almost all the instruments on a set of shrewdly written tunes about the highs and lows of love. The most immediately gratifying moments of <i>Strut</i>—“The Chamber”, “The Pleasure and the Pain” and the grinding, guitar-driven title track—have the self-assured verve of his signature hits like “Are You Gonna Go My Way” and “Fly Away”. But the reward of <i>Strut</i> is its album-length consistency; after opening with the righteously risqué rocker “Sex”, <i>Strut</i> offers a wild ride of boldly executed rock.
