Stay Together is the sixth studio album by English rock band Kaiser Chiefs, released on 7 October 2016. It was co-written and produced by Brian Higgins. The album's name is a reference to the song "We Stay Together" and lyrics seen in "Hole in My Soul". On 13 June 2016, Kaiser Chiefs released a song titled "Parachute" onto their YouTube account, and later a music video. On 14 June 2016, Kaiser Chiefs released the lead single, "Parachute", with a music video following on 20 June. On 18 August 2016, the band released the second single, "Hole in My Soul".
12 years on from predicting riots and storming charts with their swaggering indie anthems, the Kaiser Chiefs complete their metamorphosis. 2016’s iteration comes bearing slick synth-pop and the countenance of ‘80s Duran Duran. It’s a shift that suits them. Ricky Wilson warms to the more soulful material; purring his way through opener “We Stay Together” and unveiling a rather lascivious falsetto on “High Society”.
