Hit to Death in the Future Head is The Flaming Lips' fifth album and their debut album on Warner Bros. Records. It was released on August 5, 1992. It is also the first Flaming Lips album to receive a Parental Advisory warning. "Talkin' 'Bout the Smiling Deathporn Immortality Blues (Everyone Wants to Live Forever)" was released as the lead track on the EP Yeah, I Know It's a Drag... But Wastin Pigs Is Still Radical to promote the album. The title provided the inspiration for the name of the British band The Futureheads.
