Crossroads 2: Live in the Seventies is a box set by Eric Clapton, released in 1996. Unlike the first Crossroads box set that encompasses more than three decades of Clapton's work, Crossroads 2 is a chronicle of Clapton's live shows between 1974 through 1978. Much of the focus is on longer renditions of electric blues.
Put Eric Clapton in front of an audience and a sympathetic blues band, and he’ll set the house on fire. This box set is a showcase for the taste, dexterity and fervour of his guitar playing, and the passionate grain of his voice. “Have You Ever Loved a Woman” is particularly fiery on both counts, while “Crossroads” and “I Shot the Sheriff” are played with a vigour that packs these well-loved favourites with a fresh emotional punch.
