"Anthems for Doomed Youth" is the third studio album by English garage rock band The Libertines, released on 11 September 2015.The album contains two literary references, the tracks "Anthem for Doomed Youth" and "Gunga Din" referencing poems of the same titles by Wilfred Owen and Rudyard Kipling respectively. "Gunga Din" was released as the album's first single on 2 July 2015. The album's second single, "Glasgow Coma Scale Blues," was released on 20 August 2015. A Deluxe Edition of the release features five bonus tracks,

More than a decade after their eponymous second album paired a commercial breakthrough with the total implosion of the band, Pete Doherty, Carl Barât, John Hassall and Gary Powell return on a long-desired third record. It was worth the wait. From the drowsy skank of “Gunga Din” to the shambling, frantic squall of “Heart of the Matter”, Barât and Doherty favour newer material (only the wistful Anglicana of “You’re My Waterloo” comes from their vault of previously unreleased songs) and revive one of modern rock’s most blazingly charismatic partnerships in style.
